Our Difference

Collaboration, Clarity and Planning

We collaborate with our clients working closely with them to achieve the right outcomes. We seek to be clear in all that we do so our clients can quickly get across complex legal issues. We also plan each matter setting out the steps to be taken and associated costs

Collaboration

We work with our clients to achieve good outcomes. We partner with them strategically so they can meet their business objectives

We take the time to understand what our client wants us to achieve, identifying the steps that need to be taken to achieve that outcome

Whether the matter is a financial advisor dispute or a business compliance issue, we will scope what needs to be done to reach a specific goal and then work with you collaboratively to achieve that goal

We don't expect our clients to come to us. We work with them online, over the phone or in person as they choose

Clear

We cut through the complex. We set out the law clearly and concisely so that you can make the right decisions

Court process and dispute resolution procedures can be daunting for anyone caught up in a dispute. We advise on those procedures clearly and concisely, helping you to properly assess your commercial risk and giving you the information you need to make informed decisions

Company laws in Australia are complex, posing a challenge for both directors and shareholders. We advise clearly on those laws, looking for ways to cut through the complexity

As a financial advisor, the compliance burden is unending. We help you cut through that complexity so you can focus on the real issues to make the right commercial decisions.

Planning

Failing to plan is planning to fail. That's why all matters that we take on are properly planned.

A task list is provided from the start, setting out the steps that we will take as your lawyers and that you can take to contribute to getting the right outcome. This forms a road map for your matter and allows you to understand at any time exactly where your matter is, and reduces unnecessary correspondence.

We estimate our costs as part of this planning process, only departing from those estimates when there are issues beyond our control.
